Its magical. Relaxing. The sea is fantastic but not in front of the centre of the island. The best you will find from the kitesurfing school and more to the west part of the island. We stayed in Hm pallapas del Mar and the sea there is outstanding and appropriate for kids as its very shallow for many meters. Be mindful that the taxi drivers don't respect the fare that the municipality has set. These are on an enormous billboard in the middle of the town exactly where the taxi queue is. The driver just charges whatever comes in his head per day but your best bet is to take a picture of that and just pay the fare written. The hotel did say that these are the right fares that the taxis should respect but they just dont.
