Registration closes Feb. 7. Intermediate lessons run Sundays from 1:30-3:30 on Feb. 2, 9, 16 and 23. 1. The cost is $80 per four lessons, plus $40 in trail fees for non-members. Please arrive early, with skis waxed (or ready to be waxed, beginners) so you can hit the snow right at 11 (or 1:30). Register on. You'll need skis to participate!

The ski clubs keeps 10 percent as a fundraiser and the rest of the money is in your pocket. Registration for the 2019/2010 ski season is set to open Sept. 14 on Our annual Snow Show (featuring our used ski sale, silent auction, bake sale, Overlander ski booth and more) runs on Nov. 2 from 10 am to 1 pm. As usual, early bird registration rates are in effect until right after the Snow Show (see membership rates here). The Snow Show is a great chance to meet skiers, learn about our programs and see what our club is all about. Ski season begins as soon as we have enough snow to start packing and grooming the trails, usually in early December but sometimes late November. Use caution as you transition onto Fault Lake, it is still rough at the bottom of the hills. There are still some rough sections but groomer Bruce Look reports that the tracks "came out pretty good for this time of year. " That translates to great skiing so get out and enjoy! Groomers will continue to work on the trails and with another good snow like Friday we should be at 100%. Cross-country NWT is looking for a part-time administrator. [1] Meagan Wohlberg, writing in the Northern Journal, called him NWT's foremost expert on permafrost. [2] [3] Kokelj's PhD thesis, published in 2003, was entitled, "Near-surface Ground Ice in Sediments of the Mackenzie Delta Region, Northwest Territories". [4] Since then Kokelj has held several research positions in the Northwest Territories. In 2014 Kokelj was the very first speaker invited to lead off a series of talks on Northern issues, hosted in NWT's legislative assembly.
