Doug W Mississauga, Canada 1, 701 contributions Great to back on a patio!!!! Jul 2020 After a morning golf game it was nice to get out on to a patio for a beer and some food. Quickly seated and served as there was, sadly, not the usual pre-COVID lunch crowds but we did our best. Domestic beer was $7 and an import, even though owned by the same company, was a dollar more. A kids' CHICKEN STRIPS with fries was $8 and remarkably good. The fries were crispy and delicious and the 3 pieces of chicken were not "strips" but actually good-sized and meaty fried chicken. I hope this is a regular change. Sadly, this location on Britannia is on the approach path to Pearson Airport and despite the airlines being shut down there was a constant stream of noisy planes which detracted from the experience. In the end I managed to attract the attention of purple girl to get the bill, DD really wanted to have dessert, but I wasn't gonna give them anymore of my hard earned money. I think tipping 5 bucks for service was 4. 50 more than she deserved, but she certainly ran over with the machine went it was time to get paid, even the interaction times with her was very frosty, not very engaging and pretty much terrible. I did visit a month or 2 back and got another server (on my own) and the service was out of the world, she got 20bucks tip on a bill for around $25. I don't know if it was because I had my daughter in tow and in the bar area, instead of the restaurant or we where the "wrong demographic" for an anglosaxon bar, either way the service sucked it was a waste of $60 including tip. If your going to have servers, wait behind the bar, "management" don't have them bus tables, all her charm, and politeness was for the guy's sitting at the bar. In fact I never saw her attend to ANY table except ours.
Not sure why purple girl had all the other tables, even my daughter was saying "daddy why is she ignoring us" Here's a tip for you, don't go here, save your money. Service was OK and we enjoyed the nice area we were able to sit in. The food was OK as well The Bills are somewhat confusing as a 15% Gratuity is added and then one sees GIFT / SVC for the same amount but in reality it is just deducted once.
